Gordon Martens represents clients in a wide variety of Texas tax controversy and litigation matters. Mr. Martens has assisted taxpayers seeking to challenge Texas sales tax and franchise tax assessments in audits, administrative hearings, and Texas state courts. Each quarter, Mr. Martens discusses recent developments in the Texas sales tax and Texas franchise tax in live webcasts sponsored by the Texas Society of CPAs. He also presents 4-hour CPE courses covering various Texas tax topics, including specific courses for the construction, technology, and energy industries. Mr. Martens is licensed to practice law in Texas and Louisiana.
John LaBorde is a Managing Director in the State & Local Tax Practice at Andersen. With over 30 years of experience in taxation, most of John’s experience has been in public accounting, focused on assisting clients in the energy industry.
